A Natural History fantasy, following the dramatic life cycle of the female Salmon, from the river bed to sea and back, portraying the fish in human form. Featuring animated free diving characters, taking the part of the Salmon. Beyond a unique ecological tone, a factual narrative with much drama and beauty, and a road trip of sorts, we aim for this film to be a discussion about the humans and their relationship with natural world. More than anything, it is a philosophical note about the brutal yet poetic life cycle, whether it is an exposed one, like the Salmon’s, or hidden behind layers of sophisticated culture like ours. We still struggle up the river to give birth to a new generation. Be Fish.
