Inside
For the first seven years of her childhood, American artist Judith Scott shared a bed with the twin sister who adored her. One night, everything changed.
The Concept
Textures, patterns and objects were painstakingly made over the course of a year to match historic photographs, old magazine catalogues and antique props to recreate Judith's 1950's family home in Ohio, placing you at the heart of her devastating story of love and separation.

The Process
Inside is a multisensory virtual reality experience using the Meta Quest 3 headset, so the general pipeline was creating the assets in Maya, texturing using substance suite, and look development inside unity. Speed tree was utilised to create local flora and fauna, as well as motion capture for the character's performances. Below are some example assets that were made for the project, including a 1950's Pontiac Chieftan!
The Outcome
The final VR experience will be shown at the Bristol old Vic from the 1st-8th October 2025, with hopefully more viewings to come in the future.
